I mean, COME ON. Music geeks in love! Brendon trying to come to terms with his sexuality. Patrick and his filthy temper (this is canon). WHY DOES THIS NOT EXIST. I just want so many fics about them messing around in the recording studio, communicating with each other through half-uttered sentences like "... and if you put the bridge -" "Yeah, here." "No, yeah."

I think they might be my new OTP. IF ANYONE WERE TO WRITE ME COMMENTFIC I WOULD NOT SAY NO.

AWKWARD MUSICIAN LOVE. Idk, Patrick would feel all weird about the age gap issue, wouldn't he? Until Pete wisely (wisely, the world is tilting on its axis now) that it is only an age gap of FOUR YEARS, get over it, god. NOW WHO IS GOING TO WRITE THE FIC. It wouldn't even have to be very long, more like a "five things" sort of ficlet. All about them being adorable and geeky and oblivious. And also musical geniuses.

i just love the thought of fic about them working together. it could be gen! but shipping would be Even Better.

there'd be all of this mutual flailing at each other. because patrick is in awe of brendon's training and how he can read all this music, and work out scores and transpose things from one instrument/key to another and pick up anything and sort of know what he's doing.

but brendon is amazed by patrick! because... he wasn't TAUGHT how to do this stuff. he just WORKED IT OUT. HIMSELF! and he's AMAZING! how he can keep all those lines in his head at the same time and know how something is going to sound, or what's missing, or how to make something so much BETTER!

and everyone around them would get so damn sick of hearing about it all the time. 'yes bden i KNOW patrick is like god. now pour the coffee or gtfo of the kitchen!'. or 'but trick. you still love me best, right? even if i can't play all that classical music from sight, looking at the charts first time... right? RIGHT?'

That is AMAZING. Dude, thank you. The best part is when they start working on a song and then it sort of diverges into two song and eventually it's just both of them, working on different things side by side, and eventually they play their own creations to each other and go, at the same time, "I like yours better."

BUT because they are music geeks, Patrick'd go, "Still, you could sort of transpose that part..." and make a complicated hand motion and Brendon'd be all, "Yeah, yeah," and nod earnestly because he totally gets what Patrick's saying.
