Also, argh, my laptop charger isn't working for some reason. I'm using a Mac, and it's a pretty new one (read: a couple of months old). I don't think it's any of the issues given here -- strain relief seems the most likely, but given that I've been waggling the cord around without any results it doesn't seem plausible. Have any of you experienced this? WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP IT ARGH.

D: I'm so sorry! I've never had that issue with my macbook. Have you tried different sockets, etc? Once I plugged in the connector and the little light didn't come on, but once I unplugged and retried it was fine.

akdfljgh you're the second person on my flist to have problems with their Macs a few months after purchase! If it's so new you can still call into the Apple store and have them help you out over the phone.

Argh, I went to bed early and sulked after a bit, and this morning it's fine! I still have no idea what happened there, but... \o/? Gah!

That happened to me with my old computer, but it was a few years old, so I just accepted it and kept it plugged in all the time. :(

Go to the apple store! They are good about replacing stuff esp if still in warranty!

Ugh, I'm on my third laptop charger. If your charger isn't still under warranty, Amazon usually has off-brand chargers that work for Macs that are infinitely cheaper than the ones you buy from Apple.

The only problems I've ever had with the various macs I've owned over the years have been with the power cords which have consistently broken. Luckily, applecare always replaces them for free. Does yours have a burnt hole in the plastic exposing the wires? It's normally right near where the cord joins the computer.
