Yeah, definitely, that was my characterisation of Ryan Ross: everything changing and growing up, and while I wouldn't call it erroneous it is probably really obvious (references to Brendon & Spencer & Jon aside) that this was written before the split, hoo boy.
I don't regret the pretty, though! It feels like I've become more interested in other aspects of writing so my focus is on other things these days, but I definitely have moments of wishing I could write pretty things unabashedly like I used to.
