#63, 64, 65: what the hammer? what the chain?
Friday, 20 July 2012 13:13Oh my god, working from home gives you the strangest sense of unreality. It's like, you look up and suddenly you're on Twitter and HAVE YOU BEEN SPENDING THE PAST FOUR HOURS ON TWITTER without the judging looks of co-workers to egg you into doing actual work? ... then you look at the time and oh, oh no, it has only been twenty minutes. And then you fall on your laptop some more and apparently you've produced seven pages of work. The point is, I'm done \o/ and am making soup for lunch. It should be ready by... 3 pm, whoops. Here are all the books I have been putting off reviewing while the onions saute on low heat!
Letters From Burma, by Aung San Suu Kyi.
( Was there even a chance I would not love this? )
Songs of Innocence and of Experience, by William Blake.
( Uh, YEAH: the shortest review here. )
Engine Empire, by Cathy Park Hong.
( Amazing, amazing. I lost myself on the train. Also, I get so effusive here you don't even want to know. /o\ )
