extemporallyI think this illness is taking longer to recover from than I'd expected it to. I don't have symptoms any more but being awake still takes it out of me it seems -- I think it's going to be an early night for me.
Right now I'm torrenting the Doctor Who finale so I can watch it with my mother. I have a lot to say about what a clever season I think this is, and how I think Moffat's consciously reworking a lot of the old themes, with a lot more intelligence and insight than RTD ever applied to this show. (Or maybe this is just me being bitter? I will NEVER FORGIVE him for the end of Season 4, is what I mean to say.) Or, well, I have a lot of thoughts -- but I'm not sure I can put them into words.
What I do mean to say, though, that Doctor Who is kind of my show in a way I don't think any other series will be. I love it so much, you guys. It kind of came along at a confusing period of my life, and to this day Martha Jones is still one of my biggest heroes. I even made my own Doctor Who notebook. But enough babble! Really the whole point of this entry was to post this fanvid --
which may be one of my favourite fanvids in any fandom ever. Fuck I love this show, all forty unwatched years of it. One day I'm going to marathon watch all the Old Who episodes I can scrounge up, and it will be glorious.
ETA OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE WE HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE YEAR BEFORE WE GET ANY MORE DOCTOR WHO that is literally the only rubbish part of the finale. :( Also, mild spoilers in comments?
