I have a huge appetite! It definitely helps that I have a quick metabolism, but really, I love food too. I was thinking about the foods I'll miss when I go to the UK in October (which, \o/) and it strikes me that what I'll yearn for isn't really the street food that Singapore's famous for, but a mixture of homemade foods and things I grew up eating. To wit:
- Californian rolls. Also, really good sushi that doesn't cost a lot.
- Incredibly fresh steamed fish with soy sauce and ginger on top
- Those springy yellow noodles with some kind of leafy green veg and minced pork on top.
- Oyster omelette
- Mixed brown and white rice
- Braised spinach with three kinds of egg.
However, in Britain there will be!
- Black pudding :DDD
- Really good roast
- Cakes
- Marmalade
- Chips with vinegar
- SAUSAGE
- Parsnips, which I have never tried. And also swedes!
... I'm kind of really hungry now, does anyone realise?
