Okay everyone is going to hate me but I accidentally threw the lemon juice away and also, wtf is confectioner's sugar?? I have ICING SUGAR. Is that the same. Or not. My icing sugar is ANCIENT so it may not be safe to use, and also I'm lazy and still need a shower.

In conclusion: NO GLAZE.

And the actual relevant part of the comment: recipe! I ignored the pistachios and added in some lemon juice + zest like she suggested.

Now the cake is out of my oven and on the counter, which is possibly an even better state of being. THE CAKE HAS LANDED. I repeat, THE CAKE HAS LANDED.

You should definitely bake more! When are you moving, bb? Cake, omg. Baking is easier than cooking and I LOVE it.

Usually this is how my cake baking exploits go: I get the cake out of the oven, try some, decide it's the BEST CAKE EVER omg, and then eat about four more slices. By this time I have become thoroughly sick of cake and hate it.

This time I have only eaten three slices, and it is still a Pretty Good cake. My restraint: let me show you it.
