brb, suffering from artistic envy

Oh, man. This poem, this fucking poem:

Lies I've Told My Three Year Old Recently

Trees talk to each other at night.
All fish are named either Lorna or Jack.
Before your eyeballs fall out from watching too much TV, they get very loose.
Tiny bears live in drain pipes.
If you are very very quiet you can hear the clouds rub against the sky.
The moon and the sun had a fight a long time ago.
Everyone knows at least one secret language.
When nobody is looking, I can fly.
We are all held together by invisible threads.
Books get lonely too.
Sadness can be eaten.
I will always be there.

Raul Gutierrez

Also, since it's now after Valentine's, I feel 100% less sappy in saying that I love you all so much. Delurking was one of the best decisions I've made. Thank you all.

I don't know if it's a bit of a lie to say that I will always be here, but I'll try, and it won't even be that much of an effort because I really want to be in this lovely, non-corporeal space filled with squee and sparkles and some of the best people I've met, A+++. ♥

whoa. That's so COOL.

Yes, I love it! The layering of truth underneath the lies... books do get lonely, metaphorically, and "I will always be there" is that sort of fiction which can be true sometimes, if not actually physically. /ramble

... THAT WAS MY READING ANYWAY.

That poem is so beautiful. The last line made me sniffle a little; the knowledge that parents aren't going to be around forever has been on my mind a lot these days. D:

ALSO< ILU BB. I'm glad you delurked and I delurked and we met while talking about Brendon dancing to the Spice Girls. I never looked back. :D

Oh man, it was AWESOME timing... must be KISMET or something, Idk. I never looked back, either! <3

(Brendon totally wanted to be Baby Spice, y/n? But Ginger was the one he had a crush on - Posh scared him, and continues to do so to this day.)

&hearts &hearts &hearts (Brendon longed to be Baby Spice! The lollipops were just an added bonus for him.)

Any time, dude! I've been thinking of posting poems every day, for National Poetry Month in April, but Idk if anyone else would be interested. ♥

Dude, I haven't ever heard of Raul Gutierrez! Now I want more by him! That poem is awesome. *copies down* Thanks for this! <3

P.S. I feel like each line of that poem could turn into a short story or another poem, too. Neat!
