I have loved femgenficathon since it started in 2005; and today I checked back and found this gem of a fic. Star - Great Expectations, by a_t_rain. It's a story about Estella finding out the truth of her parentage, or more accurately searching, and one that gives her far more agency than Dickens' endings (original or revised) do. Sharp, witty, and satisfyingly plot-driven - if you love Dickens, run, don't walk. ♥!
