See, but I don't think the fic comes across as just pretty anyway. I think you do get a lot of what's going on inside his hide, and that it's a control thing, something he's doing to get a handle on things as they all start to change.

And yes, I definitely think that one line is very, very Ryan Ross - like he should hate the cliche, hipster that he is, but...he totally doesn't. (I think that's a sentiment a lot of people share, actually.)
