but my thought is - it's a forest. and through the forest runs a stream, and just after they've decided they're thirsty and dipped their faces down to it spencer grabs ryan's hand and says, "don't." the rest have frozen, too.
"what's wrong?" ryan says.
"can't you see it?" brendon says, eyes frightened. and ryan looks down at his reflection. his reflection has bloodshot eyes, and it's screaming wildly, face contorted into a neverending O. ryan slumps against Spencer, terrified.
across the river, they hear a faint thundering noise. jon presses his ear to the ground.
